The Daily Reset: Important for all Empaths!

If you are an Empath this post is important for you to read, especially if you answer yes to the following…

Are you struggling to stay focused?

Do you feel enraged by the injustices going on around you?

Does it feel like you are forgetting who you are or losing your mind?

Are you feeling more negativity in yourself and in others?

If you answered yes to any of those questions you are not alone.

Why?

Because there is so much triggering chaos energy all around us.

The media is stirring up hate and uncertainty. This is felt by everyone, but it is particularly troubling for the Empaths.

When conflicts arise, both in the media and out on the streets, a blanket of massively contagious, dark energy is produced. Which, when at it’s worse, is difficult to avoid.

Negativity generates negativity.

Empaths pick up on the energy of those around them, and the world at large, which can easily take them down both physically and emotionally

This is why it is so important for Empaths to stay grounded and protected.

By doing a daily reset of mind, body and spirit it will help keep you vibrating in your higher energy and keep you protected.

Here’s some simple ways to do that:

Daily Reset for Empaths

1. Get out in nature daily:

Walk in woodlands or go by the sea every day.

Go to the park or get near the trees.

Stand barefoot on your grass in the garden for 5 to 15 minutes (depending on the weather).

Watch a sunrise or sunset.

Nature is a wonderful healing tonic for an Empath and a great way to reset.

2. Meditate:

Meditating is an incredible tool.

Every day we will benefit from quietening the mind. Even if you do it for only 3 minutes.

It prevents the negative noise of the world from seeping in.

3. Exercise:

When you exercise, your body releases endorphins which make you feel good.

Exercise not only keeps you physically fit but also works all the systems in your body. It makes you feel happier.

HIIT training, which is short bursts of hard exercise, is particularly good for an Empath.

4. Avoid eating rubbish food:

This isn’t so much as being part of a reset but more a way of being. Essential nevertheless.

The wrong type of foods can take an Empath down quickly.

When you eat rubbish, you feel rubbish and then end up eating more rubbish. It becomes a vicious cycle.

You then end up feeling low and picking up on all the world’s negativity.

To avoid this, try to keep your food fresh and unprocessed.

5. Watch or read uplifting material:

We need to keep reminding ourselves of who we are as Empaths and keep our minds detached from the negativity in the world. Otherwise we can get swamped by the fear-mongering and hate that is spewed out by the media.

If you spend a lot of time on your laptop, keep a link to an inspirational website or links to YouTube videos, to keep checking in on, that will help uplift you.

Read inspiring books, if even only a page, to keep your mind uplifted and in a place of positivity.

6. Tax your mind:

Do crossword puzzles, Sudoku, learn poetry or a language, even for just ten minutes a day.

Anything that keeps your mind positively stimulated and distracted from negativity will help keep your brain empowered.

It also helps in preventing your thoughts from going over to the dark side.

7. Drink lots of water:

Drinking lots of water is so simple to do, but many of us forget.

Not only is water an elixir of youth, it is incredible for keeping you grounded and ensuring your body and mind stays cleansed and in perfect working order.

8. Submerge yourself in salt water

This is another magical therapy for an Empath.

Salt clears negativity, and is so healing for the body and mind.

Take a salt bath (or use Epson Salts).

Swim in the ocean.

If you don’t live near the sea, or if you don’t have access to a bath, simply use a salt scrub before showering, or soak your feet in salt water.

    Affinity, will find new ways to mend the heart when music strays
    With rhythms sensed, some felt, I hear it’s language whisper very clear
    From kindred souls, like minds comment on how I’ve gained the energy sent
    To urge me on until it’s fled, this heartache in my soul and head.
    (Empath isn’t a word I’d heard before and I must admit I’m finding it impossible to find where I fit in)

    Empathy, why did it start with rhyme in writing’s beating heart

  3. You know thank you for posting this blog. I am a high empath so I feel not only other people’s suffering but the world. I ned to follow your advice.
